contraindications and precautions

please be aware of all health contraindications.

please consult your doctor if you have any health concerns BEFORE attending.

sound + vibration

any sound + vibration session is NOT suitable for those who have the following health conditions:

​

  • if you are not feeling well, stay home and rest.

  • if you are under the influence of drugs + alcohol.

  • if you are under the age of 18, unless you have written permission from your guardian. guardian must accompany minor to session.

  • if you have a pacemaker, implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), artificial heart valves, coronary stent, or cardiac shunt. 

  • if you have epilepsy, deep brain stimulation device (DBS) implant, or a cerebral shunt. 

  • if you had a recent concussion. depending on severity, please consult your doctor.

  • if you have any unhealed wounds from operations, infections, or blunt trauma.

 

any sound + vibration session is suitable for sound bath with NO vibrational massage (bowl placed on body) or no direct vibration (bowl placed right in front of body. staying one meter away is allowed). please consult with your doctor prior to receiving sound bath.

  • if you have passed 1st trimester of pregnancy.

  • if you have any mental health condition and is on medication. Sound bath can trigger.

  • if you had previous stroke experience, brain operations, brain injuries. 

  • if you have or had cancer.

  • if you have allergies to metals.

  • if one also chooses to experience vibration, all open wounds must be healed. vibration can cause movement of wound.

  • if you have metal implants ie. screws, plates, pins, and joints.

  • if you have any skin conditions ie. eczema, hives, psoarisis, scars, and skin infections.

  • if you have any fresh piercings and tattoos.

needles may cause:

​

  • if bleeding, bruising, pain, soreness due to insertion of various needle depth, location, and size.

  • if dizziness or nausea. needles will be removed immediately.
